Embrace your inner forest nymph while transforming your skin into soft, supple velvet. This mask will give you the effects of a professional treatment without chemical exfoliants or harsh peels. Using fresh plants that we grow ourselves, this mask is a serious glow-maker. It also contains the full expression of a plant’s lifecycle, from root to fruit. The plants are infused in organic glycerin, a plant-based humectant that helps draw water into the skin for a dewy, plump complexion.

Key Benefits

Roots:

• Marshmallow: a demulcent (aka sort of slimy) root that provides serious hydration

• Burdock: a blood and lymph detoxifier that helps soothe inflamed, irritated skin

Leaves & Stems:

• Comfrey: A skin healer that never ceases to amaze, this leaf heals irritated skin and leaves dull, lifeless skin looking like new. The key: a compound called allantoin, which helps regenerate skin cells. Allantoin has a keratolytic effect, helping to slough dead skin cells while increasing the water content of the extracellular matrix. It also promotes fibroblast proliferation and accelerates wound-healing. The effect: brand-new, baby-soft skin.

• Gotu Kola, aka Centella asiatica, aka, “cica,” has been shown to boost collagen production, reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles and giving skin a youthful dew.

 Flowers:

• Calendula: This resinous orange flower helps soothe inflammation, repair damaged skin, fight bacteria and infection, and is in basically everything we make. It’s a gentle yet effective sun-worshiper.

Fruits:

• Camu Camu: An Amazonian berry with the highest known concentration of vitamin C, Camu Camu is a serious skin brightener. The fruit is also rich in ellagic acid, an antioxidant that can help protect skin against free radicals. It’s also loaded with vitamins and minerals including iron, niacin, riboflavin, phosphorus, potassium, beta-carotene, calcium, and amino acids.

 To use:

On a clean face, apply a thin layer of Fresh Face with a masking brush or clean fingers. Gently massage the mask into the skin, and allow it to sit for 10-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, follow with In Bloom and an oil serum. Glow on.
